White Feather & Goose Down Duvets

White Feather & Goose Down Duvets

A goose feather and down duvet is filled with 85% white goose feather and 15% white goose down in a down-proof cambric cotton cover. We make it in 10.5 tog for all-year use and 13.5 tog for cold bedrooms, in single, double, king and super king. Goose feather and down needs a large machine and a full dry, so choose hollowfibre if you want easier care. Free delivery over £35 and 365-day returns on unused duvets.

Is a goose feather and down duvet worth it?

You loved your last feather duvet until the feathers started poking through the cover. With feather and down, the cover and the care matter as much as the fill. Ours is 85% goose feather and 15% goose down in a down-proof cambric cotton cover, OekoTex certified, meaning tested and confirmed free from harmful substances. Down gives the loft and warmth, and the feather adds weight and structure. Choose 10.5 tog for all-year use or 13.5 tog for bedrooms that turn cold overnight. With proper care it can last up to 10 years.

How to look after a feather and down duvet

Wash at 40°C in a large-capacity machine and tumble dry on low until it is completely dry. Do not iron or dry clean it. Shake it out regularly and store it in a breathable cotton bag and do not compress it. If you would rather skip the care, hollowfibre duvets are the easier option.

Why buy goose feather and down duvets from The Towel Shop

Hotels and guest houses can buy feather and down by the box of 5, 10 or 50, and you can buy a single duvet for your own bed with no minimum order. If it is a gift, the duvets are available in a retail bag with a carry handle. We make our duvets in-house, and matching feather and goose down pillows are in the grid above. Delivery is free over £35, there is a price match promise, and unused duvets can go back within 365 days.

Goose feather and down duvet FAQs

What is the difference between a feather duvet and a feather and down duvet?

A feather and down duvet adds down to the feather. Down gives loft and warmth and feather gives weight and structure. Ours is 85% goose feather and 15% goose down.

Is a goose feather and down duvet warmer than hollowfibre?

Warmth is set by the tog, so two duvets of the same tog hold in a similar amount of heat. The difference between hollowfibre and feather and down is feel, weight and care.

Which tog feather and down duvet do I need?

10.5 tog for all-year use in a normal bedroom and 13.5 tog if the room turns cold overnight.

Can I machine wash a goose feather and down duvet?

Yes, at 40°C in a large-capacity machine. Tumble dry on low until it is completely dry, and do not iron or dry clean it. A damp feather duvet will clump.

How long does a goose feather and down duvet last?

With proper care, up to 10 years.

What size is a king size feather and down duvet?

229 x 218 cm. Single is 137 x 198 cm, double 198 x 198 cm and super king 259 x 218 cm.
