Arrived in good time with updates on when it was due. Lovely colour. Hopefully the person it was purchased for will never get to test how flame retardant it is. It is great such products are available. Purchased pillow cases to match.

We don’t just look at quality, another important feature of our top quality products is safety. Our flame retardant (FR) duvet covers are made from polyester. The polyester is flame retardant and our material is woven using 68 picks of polyester (warp and weft) and 76 ends of Trevira.

This loom state fabric is dyed to shade and cut and sewn into the bed linen. The fabric has been tested by an independent test house and has been accredited with British Standard (BS) 7175-Crib 7 Source 7. The ignitability of the bed covers and pillows by smouldering ignition sources have also been tested on this product.
Finishing agents now used in production of polyester are such that the feel of the linen is similar to a poly-cotton blend.
The historical negative perception of polyester being a harsh fabric has been overcome through these improved dyeing and finishing processes.
