The usual complaint about waterproof pillows is the noise. This one has a soft feel and low noise, and a reviewer calls it full, soft, silent and waterproof. The outer is coated with polyurethane, which makes it waterproof, and the filling is 100% hollowfibre polyester. It is made in the UK.
BS 7175 is a British Standard test for how bedding resists ignition from a cigarette and flame sources. This pillow is tested to BS 7175. We have not stated a Source level, so ring us if your fire risk assessor needs one. It is flame retardant, not fireproof. For a stated level, see the Source 5 flame retardant pillow.
It is wipe clean only. Do not machine wash it. It is used in households, hospitals and nursing homes. The value waterproof pillow has a polypropylene outer instead, and a mattress protector protects the bed.
