As I had ordered bath sheets before and been satisfied with them I purchased these.. Although they seem good quality they are not bath sheets but more like bath towels so disappointed.

What makes 750 GSM different from 700 GSM?
The difference is in pile density — 750 GSM packs more cotton yarn per square metre than 700 GSM, which gives a slightly heavier feel and marginally deeper pile. Both weights sit in the ultra-plush category. The Royal Egyptian 700 GSM uses double yarn construction, so the comparison depends on construction type as much as weight number.
Will the chequered pattern fade after washing?
No. The chequered texture is woven into the fabric — it is part of the construction, not a surface print. Woven textures don't fade or peel with normal washing. The embroidery will retain its appearance provided the towels are washed at 40°C with a mild detergent and not subjected to bleach.

How do I care for these towels?
Machine wash at 40°C with similar colours. Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners — bleach damages cotton fibres over time, and fabric softeners coat the pile and reduce absorbency. Tumble dry on low or air dry. Shake out after washing to restore loft.
