Choose by what is inside and how much it weighs, using the guide below the products.
How to choose a pillow when you cannot squeeze it first
Online, "medium firm" is a guess, so we list what is inside each pillow and how much of it: 450g of hollowfibre, 800g of spiral fibre, 1.1kg of goose feather and down. Those numbers tell you more about the feel than an adjective does. Find your sleeping position, then start with the pillows in the last column.
| Which Pillow Suits How You Sleep | ||
|---|---|---|
| Sleeping position | Firmness | Start with |
| Side | Firm, with height | Firm support pillows, the orthopaedic pillow or the pocket sprung pillow |
| Back | Medium firm | The quilted percale pillow or the 800g bounce back pillow |
| Front | Soft and low | The hollowfibre pillow or the small 30 x 50cm contour pillow |
If you sleep in more than one position, go medium firm. If it feels wrong after a week, returns run for 365 days.

Pillow FAQs
Where can I buy pillows in the UK?
From our website, with delivery across the UK, London included. Delivery is free over £35, and there is no minimum order, so you can buy one pillow or a pack of 100.
Are your pillows made in the UK?
Yes, apart from our goose feather and down pillows.
How do I choose the right pillow firmness?
Side sleepers usually need a firm pillow, back sleepers a medium one and front sleepers a soft, low one. Our firm support, orthopaedic and pocket sprung pillows are firm, the quilted percale pillow is medium firm, and the hollowfibre and goose feather pillows are soft.
What is the difference between bounce back and hollowfibre pillows?
Bounce back pillows use spiral fibre, which is curled and springs back after you squash it. Hollowfibre has a hollow centre and gives a soft, light fill. Our bounce back pillows hold 600g or 800g, and the hollowfibre pillow holds 450g.
What size are your pillows?
Our easy care and luxury hollowfibre pillows are 48 x 74cm (19 x 29in), which fits a standard UK pillowcase. The memory foam pillow is slimmer at 40 x 70cm, and the small contour pillow is 30 x 50cm.
Which pillows can I machine wash?
Our bounce back, hollowfibre, firm support, orthopaedic and satin stripe pillows are machine washable. Waterproof pillows and the bolster wipe clean. Check the care line on each product page.
Can I buy pillows in bulk for a hotel, rental or care home?
There is no minimum order, and packs run to 100 on most pillows. For care homes and hospitals, the flame retardant pillows are tested to BS 7175, the British test for how bedding resists ignition. Ring us on 01204 455755 for a larger order.
