Excellent service, arrived quickly and the quality is very good. I don't think I will be shopping elsewhere for my towels in the future.
Very helpful on the phone. They also took the time to phone to notify me that the white towels had a different boarder to that shown on the web site poor to my order being despatched. Quick dispatch & delivery of order. I have not seen the towels yet as they have been delivered direct to my housekeeper who looks after our house on the IoW which is let for holiday lets.
After scouring the Internet for weeks trying to find pale blue towels, I came across this site. Managed to get 6 bath towels and 2 hand towels for £35 and they are good quality. Would've liked 2 face cloths, but couldn't get just 2. Delivery was very fast as well, to day it was free. I shall defo use again if I require more towels
Hassle free ordering via the website and then delivery the following week. Decent price and certainly not shabby quality alongside that would certainly use The towel shop again.
These are fantastic towels and they have washed beautiful, so thick and great value for the money I paid!! Would definitely buy towels from here again!!
Beautiful products that wash well time after time - good buy
Lovely soft towels, excellent for the price"
Good sized and nice feel hand towel. Great price for a pack of 6 and arrived quickly. Will happily buy again.

Hand towels take more washing per week than anything else in the house. Dry your hands after cooking, after the school run, after every visit to the bathroom, and a thin towel starts bobbling within a few months. Ours are 500 GSM 100% cotton — thick enough to hold that weight through the wash cycles a hand towel actually gets, not the once-a-week wash a bath towel sees.
At 50 x 80cm they're sized for daily use rather than display, and the carded cotton construction keeps its density instead of flattening out after a handful of washes.
A hand towel earns its keep through absorbency that doesn't fade. Ours pull moisture off skin quickly and dry fast between uses, so they're never sitting damp on the rail by the time the next person needs them. The 500 GSM weight sits at the point where thickness and drying speed both work in your favour — heavier towels take longer to dry between the multiple daily uses a hand towel gets, which is exactly the trade-off worth getting right before you buy.

At home, these cover bathrooms, kitchens and downstairs cloakrooms without needing a heavier bath towel doing a hand towel's job. Guest houses and small hotels buy the same range for room sets, since the weight matches our 500 GSM bath towels and bath sheets exactly — order all three and every towel in the room comes off the same production run in the same shade. Wash at 40°C with similar colours
Skip the fabric softener — it coats the fibres and cuts absorbency
Tumble dry on low or air dry
Avoid over-drying, which stiffens the pile
Are these suitable for daily use?
Yes — that's what 500 GSM is built for.
How do they compare to a 600 GSM hand towel?
600 GSM feels noticeably heavier and takes slightly longer to dry between uses. If your hand towel gets used more than a few times a day, 500 GSM dries faster without losing the thickness. If yours have started thinning already, our guide on why hand towels go hard and scratchy after washing covers the washing habits that usually cause it.
Will the colour match my existing 500 GSM bath towels?
Yes, our 500 GSM hand towels, bath towels and bath sheets are dyed from the same colour range, so you can order matching pieces at different times and they'll sit correctly together on the rail. If you're building a set from scratch, ordering a free face cloth sample first is the safest way to check a shade before committing.
Do you supply hotels and guest houses in bulk?
Yes, there's no minimum order, so you can buy one towel or a few hundred at the same per-unit price as our trade customers.
Can they be tumble dried?
Yes, on a low heat setting.
Please note : images are for illustration purposes only. Whilst all care has been taken to display the accurate colour shade, factors such as monitor displays and new towel batches may have an impact on how the colour shade is displayed. If in doubt, please order a free face cloth sample.
