You order bedding that photographs beautifully, and by the tenth wash it's gone thin and starts pilling round the edges. That's usually a fabric problem, not a laundry one — cheaper percale is often loosely woven to hit a price point, and it shows within a season.
This is a plain-weave percale, woven from combed and carded cotton yarn rather than a loose open weave — the closer construction is what keeps it from thinning early. It has the crisp, matte "fresh sheet" feel rather than a sheen, and it gets softer with washing rather than pilling. Envelope-style opening on the duvet cover means no fiddling with buttons at 11pm.

What's the difference between percale and sateen?
Percale uses a simple over-under weave, giving a matte, crisp finish. Sateen uses a weave where more thread sits on the surface, giving a smoother, slightly glossy finish. Percale is generally the more durable of the two under frequent washing.
Will this bedding shrink?
Minimal shrinkage is normal with 100% cotton on the first couple of washes — wash at 40°C rather than higher to keep it to a minimum.
Is this the same size as your 180TC or 144TC ranges?
Yes, sizing is standardised across the site's cotton and polycotton lines — the difference between ranges is thread count and fabric, not sheet dimensions.
Do you sell this in bulk for guest houses or small hotels?

Why is it only available in white?
White is the standard for commercial laundering — it can be washed at higher temperatures with bleach-safe detergents without colour risk, which is why most hospitality buyers choose it even for home use.
