I bought these towels in silver and they are a great match with my black, white and silver bathroom. I washed and tumble dried them before use and was very surprised at how soft they are as I usually have to use fabric softener to prevent my towels from drying rough. They have a nice thick pile and are very absorbent but you do need to be aware of them being easily plucked due to the long pile. I would certainly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

What does double yarn add here specifically?
Two threads twisted together before weaving, giving more cotton fibre per square metre than a standard single-yarn towel — the reason this is our heaviest set, not just our biggest.
How is this different from the 500 GSM version of the same piece count?
Same structure, but 700 GSM double yarn is noticeably denser and takes slightly longer to dry — worth it for households that want the heaviest option, less so if speed matters more.
