Unsure on what duvet is appropriate? Have a read of our Duvet Buying Guide to see which one best suits your needs.

What is Tog?

Tog is a unit used to measure thermal resistance; The higher the Tog rating, the more heat it retains.

Traditionally, a duvet with with a lower Tog rating is more suited to the Summer months and one that is higher better suited to the Winter months.

4.5 tog

A 4.5 rated tog duvet is lighter and not as thick, it is less likely to absorb as much heat as a higher valued duvet. A duvet appropriate for summer, a 4.5 tog can also be used year round for those looking for a duvet that won’t be too warm.

10.5 tog

A 10.5 tog duvet is considered the standard and average duvet. A combination of warm and breathable, the 10.5 tog is considered the perfect all year round duvet. Heavier than the 4.5 but with better heat retention properties, a 10.5 tog is a standard duvet that will be appropriate for most.

13.5 tog

A 13.5 Tog Duvet is made specifically for the colder months due to its high tog rating. These duvets will drape around you providing warmth without feeling heavy on your body.

15 tog

Choosing either a 13.5 or 15 tog duvet will be perfect for Winter. Thick, heavier and having the best heat retention properties out of all the duvets we offer, either of these Togs are sure to offer a warm and comfortable nights sleep.
